No, I didn't wait long enough. The room was well past due for a cleaning/organizing. Unused deepfreeze was a cluttered shelf and the floor was all but invisible. Freezer is now in the feed room where it will get serve a purpose and the room is cleaned, dejunked, and organized.
Their are a couple mice in there but traps and decon is taking care of them. Rats were jumping up and into the open top (tilted in) of the windows. Closed the windows and was working on the tractor just at dusk and two almost the size of guinnea pigs were on the ledge and jumping up trying to get in. They were brave (read stupid). Walked over and caught one with a fish net and drowned it in the rainbarrel, by the time I was done and got rid of it, I went and caught the second one that had came back. By that time, people skills were gone and I mixed dog feed and some horsefeed and bread in a paper bag and threw it over the wall to the neighbor's place where they were coming from. Wife is calling the county (??) today to get them to come clean the creek/ditch and put out some poison at the source... Wish I had a couple blacksnakes....
