Mistake I am sure, for whatever reason, can't add to the below, ... WOW.... show some photos of one of these like that here, again, kind of a costly mishap, hopefully you can salvage or repair, as thats where its at.

Its not so hard to get into a situation like that, my long time farmer/friend has a relatively mechanically sound, 3150JD FWA, with a loader and one of its jobs is to gather up larger rocks in fields after tillage, push back brush/trees, I did a ton of this with it. I recall one afternoon, he says and points to this rather large rock, keep hitting it every year, etc. etc, see if you can get an edge on it, I try 1/2 a dozen ways, no leverage, and no sense in increasing any impact or break out by horsing it, I was really afraid of something like what you have in the photos, I said I'm not going any further with it, besides, the guy who is bringing in clean fill left a '02 450 JD dozer on site, no key but said absolutely go ahead, grade off what we brought in, use it while its here, very nice fellow, so I came in the next day on a Sat morning, had a key, greased/fueled er up, and went after that big ole rock, I had it out in 5 minutes, on the surface, it was almost as big as the dozer! backfilled the hole, graded, and pushed off the rest while I was there. Could have fought all day with that 3150 too. I watched him fool with a big ole stump, back end off the ground, helping a neighbor along a field we used, whom we know, 3150 won that battle, but he scared the crap out of me and the neighbor, whom promptly tipped him a $100 bill. He's cognizant of not abusing equipment, but sometimes you, the tractor and that stump get carried away.

I just am amazed at the power of modern hydraulics, that little 450 lifted a fresh cut 36" dia. x 120' (top not cut off yet) oak, I slung it on one side, lifted it with the blade and towed it up a small incline, it would not pull it from the drawbar, dug in, tracks spun but that 6 way blade had no issue with lifting it from the heavy end. Having access to this kind of equipment is not always possible for most, but it sure helps you draw the line when you know you are outclassed but still trying anyway, usually never worth it, hopefully you'll get 'er repaired and show us the photos here.
