Several years ago we had an over run of coyotes and the Gov even put a bounty on them. We would see several in a pack. One would play with a calf and get it away from the Mom, and the others would move in for the kill, but we then would also move in for the kill. We killed over 40 in one year. Early 70's. Now they seam to hang around for the afterbirth. They were singing last night and I'm guessing hunters dressing out kill.

Today's Featured Article - Show Coverage: Argyle and Mt. Pleasant Labor Day Weekend Shows - by Cindy Ladage. The last fling before summer fades into fall and we get busy in the fields are the annual Labor Day tractor shows. Beginning on September 5th and running through the 7th, the Argyle Antique Gas and Engine Show is held at the Argyle State Park. Located in West Central Illinois, the pine forest was the setting for the opening of the 22nd show.
