My layin hens are moulting. This usually doesn't happen until mid-december. My egg production dropped to zero this week and only a few were droppin feathers. Initially I was thinking maybe I have snakes in the coop but today I've got a lot of em looking like they been plucked for a feather pillow. We have had few cold nights so I would think the snakes would be heading for hibernation. Never had any spend the winter in the coop before. I do not heat the coop at all.
