I had a 500 pound bull calf laying up along the fence yesterday morning. Once in a while he'd be up,then back down again. I rode the 4 wheeler up there after dinner,tried to walk him and he kind of staggered. They've been on creep feed since July,but after I filled it Sunday,it was completely empty already Monday morning. I think even though they'd been on it for 3 months,he got in there and over did it. I sold a thin cow last Thursday and I'm thinking now it might have been his mother,and he just stood in there eating for lack of anybody to wander off with. He was still up there in the same place this morning,but before I had chores done,he came up and was acting OK,licking the TM block. Don't often see'em recover from acidosis,but looks like he did.
