Try to keep the damaged foot elevated to reduce swelling until you can get a icepack on it. If someone critcizes you for it show them the foot and ask them what they would do. If you can sleep with it elevated above your heart tonight it should help too. I'm not sure if aspirin, ibuprofin or tylenol would help or hurt.
It may be worth your time to call a medical help line or contact a medical help site to learn what you can do to avoid damaging it any further and also to learn when it's time to see a doctor. I didn't and it extended my recovery time from two weeks out an extra week to three weeks.
