Well, when I retired, I changed my farm policy to a homeowners and saved a ton of money. The policy is a 1% deduct and it was way more than what the door cost me. That means that I foot the bill for small stuff, but I keep things close so as to minimize small stuff losses. Been with state farm for over 25 years and get some nice bundling discounts. They don't do a lot of advertising with goofy things and pass the savings on.
