I was pulling out a stuck tanker with Dad's brand new 1979 JD 310A backhoe using the rear bucket with the tractor dug in. The chain snapped and came thru the rear window of the cab like a shot and just missed me. After the initial 15 minute "you stupid a**" chewing out, I called the dealer and ordered a new window $270 (in 1979 dollars).
