They're not a bad tractor at all. The mechanic can recalibrate the shift points on it for better/smoother shifts. Don't be so scared of the computor stuff, a lot of folks shy away from them but they are like anything else, with time they all need work. They are much improved over the 8400. Those series in the early production years had a lot of trans troubles. The 10 series are a good tractor in my opinion, and they'll pullthe a// out of a cat!!
