Hi Guy I did my farmall C with no trouble. the advise before is correct, I went with a one wire alt and a resistor coil, new cap rotor ect looks sharp
My only problem is the alt must turn fast enough for it to work. I went with a smaller pully on the alt and had a low rpm exciter put in the unit. when done use a meter on the battery to tell when it cuts in and out. the voltage will jump to 13+ volts when it kicks in, note the position of your throttle control at this point, now lower rpms until the unit cuts out, the voltage will drop. Just don't idle the tractor below this rpm for long and all will be fine. good luck Paul
