Unhook the opener and check the door itself. Tension springs can get out of adjustment/lose tension and effect operation. Also check photo cells (if equipped) that should be near floor level on each side to see if they've moved. Check chain (if equipped) for adequate lubrication and function. And very commonly, rollers and wall track will wear and bind. Most quality door openers will be able to sense excessive loading and shut themselves down. I've had that to happen on what I'd best describe as an intermittent basis.
All the brands of openers I've had experience with have manufacturers tech service sites (be it email or phone) I'd try them for specific issues.
