I generally refrain from making comments such as this, but sometimes I am rather amused at how many people read a post and overlook the main point. The original poster here, was trying to point out how magazine articles from 50 or so YEARS ago, commented on the way the Chinese PEOPLE, the WORKING CLASS, went about coping with the problems of making a daily living, and how they would be able to improve their operations when they were able to apply more modern technology, particularly the farmers. He actually entered a disclaimer, so to speak, that the attitude of the people was different from the attitude of the government of the time. His comments were not political nor did he intend to stir up a political debate. I feel that several here need to re-read the original post to better understand the topic. So, now, throw what you want at me, I just ducked behind one of those very large 'dozers that he repairs!
