Actually the 8:25 tire will be 1 1/2" taller than the 7:50 and make him have to be able to set the drill 3/4" deeper to get the same seeding depth and that is the big thing about going to a biger diameter and therefore wider tire that may not have sidewall clearance. The larger circumfrence it would be easy enough to figure out how much to back off the seed settings but if he is running the drill at full seeding depth now it may not be that easy to adjust fore a deeper seeding depth and for sidewall clearance might have to figure out a spacer to set the rim out farther for the clearance needed.
