I'd think twice about that tractor. Here in tobacco country, there are lots of small tractors around from the 60's and most are still in use. There are plenty of Farmalls, Fords, MF's, and a few AC's. Some folks, including my grandfather bought 1010 JD's but they have a horrible reputation. My grandfather said he only kept the one he had one year. We still have the 35 and 135 MF's he bought along then and use them daily. My grandfather on the other side still uses the 1962 140 Farmall he bought new. I've never heard a good word about the 1010's. You will see one once in a while, but not being used like the other brands still are.
