I am teaching a Concrete and Masonry class at SCSU this semester. There are two methods of using the bonding agent. One is to prep the masonry with a cleaning and drying, then coating the masonry directly with the undiluted agent. Next is the placement of the pointing mortar while the bonding agent is still not quite dry. The other is to blend the bonding agent into the mortar directly. A combination of both might be best practice in this case. The Link is an example, I think it is close to what you need. I would mix only about one quart of mortar at a time, as the application is time consuming and too much mix will harden before applied. Best of luck. Jim
