Forty years ago I planted beans with a John Deere 290, no spray, just cultivate and combine with a A-6 case, owned one gravity box. Fill it in the afternoon and run it to town in the morning and then start over again. About nothing invested in machinery and seed, fert. fuel and rent was cheap. I made good money back then!! That opportunity isn't there anymore to start on a string.
