I guess I just don't get it; here is what I come up with: (assuming 90 mph on the downhill is correct per the poster) First Mile average 30 mph = 2 minutes of travel time Second mile average 90 mph = .6667 minutes (40 seconds) of travel time Total time in transit = 2.6667 minutes (2 Minutes 40 Seconds) Average Velocity = distance / time 2/2.6667=0.7499 miles per minute x 60minutes = 44.994 mph I estimate that in order to get the average to 60 miles per hour he would need to drive an additional 2 miles at 90 mph. so 1 mile at 30 mph + 3 miles at 90 mph would net you a 60 mph average but you would have gone 2 miles further than you had to. Bypass Yon by 1 mile and very quickly (instantly)turn around and go back to Yon and then you will have averaged 60 mph but it will take you 4 minutes to do it.

Flax provided the fibre which w
