My son has the disease but my daughter does not. My father had it and died from it as did my oldest sister. I have a niece that also has MEN 1. No cure, very rare and not much research to find a cure. It is the 11th gene that is defective found through a extensive blood test. Only cure is preventive surgery when tumors are detected. I have had seven surgeries so far with another one pending.
