That's exactly where my wife is. She's a nurse, got "layed off" almost 4 years ago due to cutbacks. She went "to work" for a new home health care agency about 2 years ago. It was 6 months before they called her to do ANYTHING,then she did one admission. Worked about two hours. For about 6 months now she's been working every other Monday. Started out to be seeing 3 patients, working about 3 hours. Now she's down to 1 patient and 1 hour every two weeks. By the time she drives there, then goes to the office to drop off her paper work,I'm actually paying for the gas so she can "work".
And don't anybody say she should try getting a job somewhere else. Nursing jobs left along with the rest of the economy around here and still the Community College is turning out two classes of new nurses every year. Just getting womens hopes up thinking they can graduate and get a job. Maybe they can if they move a long ways away, but what are we supposed to do,quit farming, sell the farm and move just so she can get a job?
