Just read a bunch of folks" writings and thought i"d jump on the carousel of opinions....
My dad told me not to crawl in the rafters, butI just oculdn"t get past climbing on the home-made topper of that 68 ford, then grasping a rafter.
Smart as he is, Dad backed the pickup outta the garage, then said something to the effect that supper was on, with full knowledge his darling, but misbehaving son, was safely tucked in the rafters without a way down.
By the way, the siblings got plenty of ice cream that night whilst I watched.
