don"t want to sound like a smart a$$, but if you have 12ft out of ground, and only 3ft, in sandy soil in ground I would put the braces on it before you put any kind of a tarp or any siding material. If you put a tarp on it and it does not have any cross bracing on it, I can just see a high wind coming along and.....well, you know where I am going with that suggestion. Maybe i am just a little too cautious, but 3ft does not sound like a lot in the ground to me. Jim
