Yes, much of ND has a very good looking corn and soybean crop, one of the best ever. This area used to grow only a little silage corn (20-40 years ago), but now their are many good corn and bean varieties that do well in our short growing season and lower rainfall. Right in my area of central ND, expectations are for 150+ bu corn and 50bu soybeans. Look at the US drought map, very little of ND is involved. Supprisingly, the RR Valley which was the earliest and best corn and bean area of ND is suffering pretty badly from drought.
