It has been a great year for hay in southern Mn and Wisc. for the most part. I put up 3rd cutting alfalfa the first week of August and have never done that ever in over 40 yrs. of farming. We only have beef cattle and I know the dairy guys try and get more cuttings than the beef guys. Never know, next year it might be our turn to be on the short side, so a little extra this year might come in handy next year.
