Nice guy: I am one of the worst spellers in the country. I really on spell check to help me write. I many times get the word so far out the spell check is confused/lost. LOL
Nothing in the world would make me more mad than a teacher telling me to just look it up in the dictionary. The words are in the proper order the way they are spelled. Well daaaaa!!! If I can't spell the darn word how am I supposed to find it in the darn dictionary????
I many times will just change the whole sentence if I get really stumped on a word.
Don't tell me I can learn to be a good speller. I have had tutors try to help me. I even spent money years ago to hire a teacher to help me when I was taking night classes. My mind just does not process words well. Phonics are a mystery to me. I write mainly by how a sentence "sounds" to me. Since I do read a lot, I can usually make a sentence correct just by the way it sounds.
