I got picked to be interviewed for jury duty in the Paul Bernardo trial. While I believe it is a citizen's responsibility to service jury duty without complaint. There were rumours of what horrors the jury would have to see and hear. Knowing I couldn't handle those images and sounds in my head for the rest of my life. I used my Captain's rank on the Emergency Response Team to be relieved. There are jury member(s), court officials and members of the legal community who quit their jobs and are still seeing a shrink.
