There is an oil filter study on the net by a guy named Russ Kinze. Do a search for it. This study was published in May of 1999. This guy has tons of time on his hands and he tested all oil filters for leakage, hydrostatic burst, disintegration of the filter media, check valve effectiveness. I remember this guy saying that the Fram filters were one of the worst. Wix and the Mobil 1 filters were the best. Very enlightening information with pictures too.
