At the Museum in Saskatoon SK where I volunteer we are rebuilding a John Deere binder that we use to cut oats sheaves to use in stooking and threshing demonstrations. The straps and slats are held to the canvas with copper rivets and washers. We had a quantity of them but are now running out. If anyone has any and would like to help us out we would sure appreciate it. They range in size from 3/32" to 5/32" in diameter and from about 1/2" to 1" in length. E-mail at [email protected].
