After cleaning everything up with emery paper, my husband was able to press the shaft into the replacement front axel for our Farmall Regular. Yeah!!
We have a low ceiling in the shop, so he did have to move his press outside the shop, chain it to the tractor bucket - then raise it up a little and block it, so the shaft had clearance - but he did get it back together.
