Never have seen that first hand, but had an eather explosion on a 460 diesel utility once. we kept a can of eather under the seat in the winter for starting. Forgot about it. It rode there most of the summer. One hot day, I was cuttting hay. I stoped at the end of the field to talk to dad, who was raking. While i was standing by his tractor, we hear a loud eplosion and the 460 was in a cloud of eather. 460 raced for about 10 seconds till the cloud blew away( windy day). It bent the sheet metal under the seat out about an inch. I was lucky that day!!!
