You just inspired me. I retired and am doing a little farming/ranching. I got rid of my swather moco and have a drum mower now. It works fine but I have a crop that has a few large stems that are driving the curing process.
For my last cutting this year with the weather going to cool off and all, and my crop won't be anyways near the height of yours, I thought about using my shredder and just shredding everything to decrease the curing time.
I was afraid of what I said fearing too many stems that just bent over and didn't get cut, but after seeing this I no longer am.
