My dad just had his wallet stolen yesterday with his drivers license, credit card and SS card in it. They used the cc to buy gas. I wanted to ask if this has happened to any one else and what you may have done to stop the ID theft? He went to the Social Security office but they told him he needed proof from a doctor or hospital of who he was. His tax papers are not good enough.
