Other than approx 17 cities where most Canadians live, most within 2hrs of the US border. There isn't much for roads and population in Canada. Ocean coasts on three sides. Boreal forest with abandoned logging roads, Canadian shield(rock) and tundra. You don't have to travel very far north of the US to have just a logging/mining road, winter only roads, rail lines and float planes. Most rural roads north of the cities are just to access summer cottages. Trans Canada highway, trans Canada railway and roads between cities. Then some branch roads through farming , logging and mining areas. Can drive for hours without seeing another vehicle. Unpopulated and empty compared to Europe. Even when compared to the US. More land area and 1/10 the population.
