No the fuel itself won't go bad,but there is a chance of algae growth,or moisture contamination from condensation,or moisture getting in the tank. I started an old d6 that had been sitting in the weeds for 15 years on the fuel that was in it. Changed the oil and filters and ran the whole tank of fuel out of it without a problem.
