Thank you for the reply. I asked the question incorrectly. What I meant was the thread size of the nut that retains the battery wire. One I'm working on is 24 volt 40 amp negative ground. Notes I have in the manual for the tractor: 1968 HD 6 crawler looks like the alt. is a 10s1 alternator. Replaced the originial 24 volt generator with the delco alternator due to the cost to repair the generator. Fields and armature were bad in the gen. and needed a new voltage regulator. Gen was only a 10 amp delco.
