I have the opportunity to pick up an old reefer unit including pump and am trying to figure out what to do with it. It hasn"t run in 7 years and might be scrap. For those that haven"t heard of this, it is a 27hp four cylinder diesel engine with no timing advance. It was designed for steady load and long run times with a huge oil reservoir. Ideas currently are: car? diesel genset? part out on ebay? sell for scrap price?
Anyone got any other ideas if this engine works out?
