We all get the most greedy at the top, it is human nature. It is VERY hard to sell on the way down as you wait for a rebound that may not happen.

Don't be afraid to lock in high prices to cover bills and short storage issues. You didn't grow the crop to gamble on. If you want to just play the markets, no need to do all of the work, just play the CBOT.

I also have corn sold around $6, a price unheard of a few years ago and still very good, but giving up what it would bring now is frustrating.

Somebody told me of a neighbor who rode a bin of beans from $4 to 12 and back to 4 while holding out for 13..... sold it at 4. Make some sales to step up your average and don't leave it all on the table.
