I don't believe in contracting any crop that is not harvested, if it is in the bin and for future delievery then OK. I remember when around us the ones that had contracted ahead had to strugle to find high priced grain to fill low priced contracts that they thought were good and ended up loosing money big time. I was not one of them. One year the corn looked good but at harvest made only 18 (Eighteen) bushels per acre, anyone would have thought it would have been a hundred in front of that 18.
