I did the same thing. Both in the shop and in the house. Bought all of them at reputable retail outlets. Less than a year had gone by and I was replacing the twisty bulbs with incandescents. Some of those CFLs did not last as long as a week. I'll never buy another one. And for what it's worth, those CFLs did not lower my electric bill by as much one dime.
