depends on how much lower the pond is than the trees, how much head you had would determine what you could do to a certain extent.it may be cheaper or more practical depending on your situation to buy a storage tank,and rent a pump if you need a large one.pump your water into a tank and it will evaporate less and you might get more useage. just an idea of course. then you could have the tank to haul water after your pond is gone if neccesary. if you had a trailer with a tank on it,filling it from your pond could be done with a small submersable pump. as i say just another option.
