Well, after 5000 hours and almost 28 years, the water pump gave up the ghost. As I drained everything preparing to replace the pump, I noticed the coolant / water is very rusty. I flushed and replaced the coolant just last summer. What do you guys recommend to clean out the block and radiator? I"m wondering what"s causing the rust. My wifes grandfather, who we bought the tractor from, wasn"t famous for his maintenance practices, he probably just topped it off with water from the garden hose. I use a 50% mix of whatever green antifreeze is on sale at NAPA. Thanks in advance for the help.
