I have never done a 3500 with the hyd clutch, but have done many S-10's with em. Sounds like you have a master with too small of a bore or a slave with too big of a bore, you are not getting enough travel to release the pressure plate, I had one once that I had to lengthen the push rod to get it to work, I think I welded a piece on to it. Make sure your master is returning all the way so the pedal has a little slack and can get a full stroke. Your slave should start to move as soon as the master pedal starts to stroke or you have air. Compare your old parts to the new ones and double check everything,how far does the arm have to move before the throw out bearing contacts the PP fingers?? Have had to shim the throw out bearing farther out on the carrier on some, they can be a miserable SOB at times!! Good luck!!
