The hydro does get hot but check to see that the little fan is not broken on the hydro drive just forward of the transmission. you will have to look under the cader to see There should be a little fan. Also, change the Hy=tran and filter is a good practice. : Is it normal, after a few hours of running, for the axle and gear housing to be extremely hot? On my Cadet 125, I can't even touch the back of the tractor because its so hot. Is this possibly a problem with the pump? I did replace the filter at the beginning of the season.
