before i gave up playing farmer thats the unit that i last ran. IH 900 cyclo horizontal 12 row rear fold. i was running deer 7000 series prior and if i were buying back today thats what I would go with.simply make sure the shaft that the drum rotates on is true and straight, seals are all good around the hopper. if it has insecticide and you are or are not ging t use it make sure the drive chain tighners are free and rotate as this can make the seed drum be jerky.other thn that all the planters ut there really are not that much difference. the brand new units that i have been assembly for dealers sure do havealot of electric everything on them. The kinzes.Ih and great plains have been the fads so far. but back to you r questin the 900 are very nice units in my experience. any planter ut ther will do nice job if setup correctly.
