And don't forget grits. When I moved to Iowa in 1961 I saw ads in the CR Gazette for Quaker Oats looking for farmers to contract white corn. I had no idea what it would be used for.
Moved to Florida in 1977 and discovered grits. Looked at the packages in the store and guess where it was made...my old home town, Cedar Rapids. I enjoy them once in a while.
