Sounds like you are on the right track. Do you have a chop saw to cut rebar? Yes, get the bull float and a a hand mag (float) too. I don't know how much cement is a yard now days. If I were you I would try to get an idea based on your dimensions of the "new" slab to see how many yards of cement you will need. I don't know what your budget is, but just get an idea so you know roughly the cost so you do go into shock. LOL Sounds like you already have or have access to most everything you need.
