Can you name any one thing that the govenment operates that is not full of waste?
I can tell you with certainty that government run healthcare wont be the exception to all the other programs that waste our tax dollars.
I look at it more like the guy who has worked for 10 dollars and is required to give 5 of his dollars to some undeserving individual who is not willing to work to get their own 10 dollars.
There are a couple welfare employees at work which are on temp labor. They show up late to work, mouth about how much they hate their job and one 30 year old woman has been trying to get on disabilty since I started 5 years ago. She has two small children and a husband who works 10 hours a week at pizza hut. This same woman is healthy as a horse but leaves work early because "she doesnt feel well". She sure is healthy enough to go to the store to buy cigarettes and smoke them like a freight train. She was even well enough to smoke those cigarettes that you and I buy for her while she was pregnant with her second child.
These are the types of people that our government would have us believe "deserve health insurance". Our problem is that everyone feels that they are entitled to something that they were not willing to work for to achieve.
