Yesterday while cutting hay with the 1855 the muffler fell (rotted) off.... I always wear ear plugs but that's still quite loud. Being a Saturday and not being able to get a replacement right now, we kept going. After cutting I put it on the chopper, and man will that make it bark when a slug goes through.
I know the AGCO muffler is over $300, so we may find a cheaper one with a 3" opening and have a muffler shop expand it to 3 1/8".
Then to top it off, a 16.5x16.1 implement tire on the back of one of our wagons that was getting thin (wore through 4 of 10 plies) got poked through by the hay stubble and actualy blew a hole in the ground. We put on our spare manure spreader tire, a 10.00x20. We're gonna play musical running gears and put one under that wagon (only a 16' gehl 920) that has 10.00x15's instead of those mamoth 16.1 flotation tires. Anyone know how much one of those fatty tires run? I can only imagine that one of those implement tires new would cost more than what we paid for the entire wagon, a whopping $400.
