Does anyone know when GM changed the tire pressure monitoring system such that one must have a special device to reprogram position after tire rotation?
I could "learn" the sensors in my 2009 Malibu by decreasing pressure while in learn mode but according to the owners manual for my 2012 Malibu, the sensors are taught with a device that one must hold near the valve stem while in learn mode.
This is annoying as I rotate my tires myself and cannot reprogram the sensors.
