mnoliverguy, Here in Central Texas the Norm for Cedar Posts to put them in unpeeled. But my Dad believed, and Maintained that a Peeled Post would last longer ans stay tighter in the ground. For there was no bark to rot off and deteriorate and cause the post get get loose. But that may have more to do with how much heartwood to softer wood a particular post has. So IMO "Peel" I think That is the way to go. OBTW A pressure washer will peel Cedar bark in nothing flat. Hope this helps. Later, John A.
