I have app. 2 acres on the outskirts of the city limits. I have neighbors all around and I think that may be part of my problem. I dought if many of them do anything to discourage these insects.
I bought three traps and placed them app. 150 feet from the problem areas and my problem got worse. I think I may have pulled some from neighboring properties.
In three weeks I had app. THREE gallon of dead beetles! And They STINK!!!!
I read somewhere that traps may increase the problem so I removed them and the infestation problem decreased a little.
